The principle
This site collects the bare minimum. The only personal data collected is the email address you choose to leave in order to hear about new releases. No other information is requested.
Signing up for release announcements
The form collects your email address and your explicit consent, through a box that is never pre-ticked. You may also indicate which book you are waiting for. No other information is requested, and no field is inferred or filled in without your knowledge.
Double opt-in
Your sign-up is not recorded straight away. You receive an email containing a link valid for forty-eight hours: until you follow it, your address is added to no list. That link is cryptographically signed and carries the information itself, so nothing is stored on our servers between your request and your confirmation.
What this processing rests on
Your consent, freely given, which you may withdraw at any time, without having to justify yourself and with no consequence.
Who receives your data
Your address is entrusted to the provider that delivers our emails, our email delivery provider, acting as a processor and for that sole purpose. It is neither sold, nor rented, nor passed on to anyone else.
How long it is kept
Your address is kept for as long as you remain subscribed, then erased within three years of your last contact with us, in line with the French data protection authority's recommendation on marketing.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, or write to the contact address above. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Cookies
One cookie is used: it remembers which Amazon store you choose on a book page, so that you are not asked again on every visit. It contains only a country code, no identifier, and serves only the service you asked for yourself. You may delete it from your browser at any time.
Audience measurement cookies
If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies that count visits and record which pages are viewed. They are set by Google, which acts as the recipient of that data. Your IP address is anonymised. Nothing is set until you have accepted, and declining has no effect on your browsing. You may change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.
What happens when you buy
Purchases are completed on Amazon. The moment you leave this site, Amazon's privacy policy and terms apply, and we receive no information about your order.
